[CEETL JEDI Workshop] Beyond Deficits: Neurodiversity, Student Strengths, and Generative AI in Engineering Education

Join CEETL on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. via Zoom for an engaging discussion on supporting neurodiverse students in engineering education and exploring the potential of generative AI to enhance their college experience. Faculty from SFSU’s Graduate College of Education and School of Engineering will share findings from student interviews and recent research on the strengths and challenges of neurodiverse learners, including the possibilities and limitations of generative AI. Participants will also collaborate on strength-based approaches to fostering more inclusive and supportive learning environments. The lessons from students in our engineering classrooms are universal and we encourage faculty from all disciplines to consider attending this workshop.
